Smile Brilliant: CariPRO Electric Toothbrush Review

Before I reveal I how I got on, allow me to briefly tell you about my tooth-brushing history! I’ve always been pretty good at looking after my teeth – I brush and floss regularly and visit the dentist for the occasional check-up. I’ve been happy enough using a normal (manual) toothbrush for years or sometimes I’ll use one of those cheap pulsar-style battery ones you can pick up from your local pharmacy. They’ll last for a month or two then will randomly stop working one day. I’ve never really considered buying a high-end electronic toothbrush. I think the bulkiness of them and the idea of having to remember to charge them always seemed to put me off. Surely I can brush just as well as one of those devices anyway, right?! — [Spoiler: I was wrong!]

My Experience:
Smile Brilliant sent me the “Individual Package” in the post which includes the following:

The toothbrush lists 5 brush modes along the face:
CLEAN – WHITE – MASSAGE – GUM CARE – SENSITIVE.
Each mode makes the bristles do a different action depending on the area of your mouth you are brushing. (Did you know that you should brush your gums softer than your teeth to prevent your gums from receding?!) To select a brush mode, you simply push down the arrow button until the desired mode lights up. Each mode is designed to operate for two minutes with 30 second bursts. (You’ll know when it’s been 30 seconds as the bristles will pause action for a moment which is when you should move the brush to a different quadrant of the mouth for an even clean) On the back of the brush head is also a handy tongue scrubber too.
The toothbrush is waterproof, slim and light-weight which makes it easy-to-clean and stylish at the same time. One full charge lasts for 30 days (!) so there’s no need to worry about remembering to charge it every day! Plus, inside the instruction manual there are great tips on how to achieve a healthier and brighter smile.

After using the CariPRO Ultrasonic Toothbrush for the first time, I was actually amazed at how squeaky clean my teeth looked and felt. I know I brushed well before (because my dentist told me!) but how can you really compete with a toothbrush with brushes that vibrate 40,000 times a minute?! – You can’t! My favourite brush mode is the ‘White’ one as it’s great at buffing away those everyday surface stains from food and drink that can make your teeth look discoloured.

The Verdict:
I am now officially a self-confessed electronic toothbrush lover! How did I manage to go all these years without using one?! The CariPRO Ultrasonic really is an impressive electric toothbrush with everything you need to keep your teeth looking the brightest and feeling the healthiest they have ever felt. I definitely can’t go back to using a regular toothbrush now!  If you do not already use an electric toothbrush, I would recommend this one.  If you already use an electric toothbrush, then it might be time for an upgrade! I am confident that my teeth and gums are now getting the best oral care they can get and believe it or not I actually look forward to brushing my teeth now!
